radiation parameterization in CAM 3 and CAM4

To whom it may concern:

Is there any difference between CAM 3 and CAM4 for the parameterization in radiation scheme (shortwave and longwave radiations)?

Thanks

The radiative scheme is basically the same in CAM3 and CAM4.
The main differences between CAM3 and CAM4 are:
(1) the changes to the deep convection scheme: the introduction of the dilute plume in CAM4 (versus indilute plume in CAM3) and the introduction of sub-grid scale convection momentum in CAM4.
(2) the introduction of the freeze dry parameterization
(3) introduction of a second calculation of the cloud fraction just before the radiation (to solve some inconsistency in the cloud fraction in CAM3)
