Regarding CAM standalone output file

Hi, I have a query regarding CAM5.3, the atmospheric component of CESM1.2.0After the simulation, the output files have various files related to ice, ocn, lnd etc components for the standalone model configuration.I am unable to find the proper reason for  this. Please guide me in this regard.

There are two reasons for this:1) Even for "standalone" CAM, CLM is always active, unless the aquaplanet configuration is used (no land present). We rely on CLM for certain necessary calculations, such as surface fluxes, over land.2) Ocean, ice, and runoff components are still present, but they are prescribed by data rather than prognostic. Therefore they still produce log files to explain their current status during the run, and they can potentially produce other outputs representing data that may be useful for data analysis, mapping, or debugging.
