From user: I tried to run CESM model and created a case using the following set: ./create_newcase -case $CASEROOT -mach $MACH -res f09_f09 -compset F_2000_CAM5 I let the model run for 10 years on yellowstone with monthly average outputs.  However, when I compared my results with the CESM CMIP5 AMIP run (downloaded from the CMIP5 project website), the cloud properties (IWP, LWP) are quite different. Could you please send some details about how to reproduce the CESM CMIP5 AMIP simulations (do I have to use different forcing data?) Looking forward for your help. Sincerely,

Which tag are you using ? I think your best bet to reproduce the CMIP5 AMIP run would be to use the cesm1_0 series. This was the code base for CMIP5/AR5 simulations[/b]SEe also: http://www2.cesm.ucar.edu/models/scientifically-supported
