restart file requirements

HiI was running a few 17 year simulations withThe restart folder generated at the end of the run is 0016-01-01-00000.The files in the restart folder aread11.cam2.h0.0017-12.nc           ad11.cice.r.0016-01-01-00000.nc    ad11.cpl.r.0016-01-01-00000.nc      rpointer.ice
ad11.cam2.h1.0018-01-01-00000.nc  ad11.clm2.h0.0017-12.nc            ad11.docn.r.0016-01-01-00000.nc     rpointer.lnd
ad11.cam2.i.0018-01-01-00000.nc   ad11.clm2.r.0011-01-01-00000.nc    ad11.docn.rs1.0016-01-01-00000.bin  rpointer.ocn
ad11.cam2.r.0016-01-01-00000.nc   ad11.clm2.r.0016-01-01-00000.nc    rpointer.atm
ad11.cam2.rs.0016-01-01-00000.nc  ad11.clm2.rh0.0016-01-01-00000.nc  rpointer.drvUpon making

and resubmitting the job for another 17 years,  i get the following error in run/atm.log.151110-171323:(GETFIL): attempting to find local file ad11.cam2.h1.0016-01-01-00000.nc

I had previously deleted all the h1 files as i do not need them for analysis.Could you please suggest a way to get away with this problem? Thank you so muchRegardsAdithya Nalam

If you delete the h1 files, you won't be able to restart the run because teh model will look for these files to restart. 
Maybe there is a copy of these files in your rest directory:Look into:$yourpath/archive/$casename/rest/ if there subdirectory for the year 16. If there is a subdirectory, copy ALL the files into your run directory. This shoudl contain the information that CESM needs to restartIf you also deleted files into the rest directroy, I cannot think of a way for you to restart your run.
