Restart files for MAM7 and RCP4.5

Dear CESM Experts,

I want to compare climate change and aerosols between 2005 and 2045. I think a compset like this "RCP4_CAM5%SMA7_CLM40%CN_CICE_POP2_RTM_SGLC_SWAV" with resolution of f19_g16 might work.

I currently have some restart files from case b40.rcp4_5.2deg.wcm.002. The model complained about the levels don't match. When I try a case with levels match, I got this error:
(shr_sys_abort) ERROR: chem_surfvals_readnl: Cannot specify both bndtvghg and flbc_file
Where can I find the list of all restricts of restart files? Such as how many levels the restart files should have and the range of some variable should be?

Is there any restart files available for MAM7 in 2005 and 2045? Because I don't have enough source to make a long run from a startup mode.

Starting in the cesm1_2_z series CAM does not permit specifying both bndtvghg and flbc_file in the namelist settings.  These are boundary condition files that supply the GHG concentrations.  The chemisty is specified as trop_strat_mam7, so you should be using the flbc_file specification and remove the specification of  bndtvghg from the namelist.

Dear eaton,Thank you so much for your reply. The delete of bndtvghg work after I also delete the scenario_ghg setting.(By the way, how to delete a variable instead of set it as ' ' in user_nl_cam? I have to delete scenario_ghg in 2006-2100_cam5_rcp45.xml) But the case showed more and more problems, I managed to solved some of them, but stuck there for a long time.Are there any experiments you made use MAM3 or MAM7 for future prediction that has restarts files available? I found the ccsm_init don't have any restart files for CAM5 cases. Such as the default restart file b.e10.B20TRC5CN.f09_g16.001 is not available there.Thank you,Pei

The use case file needs to be set up correctly for the specified CAM configuration.  The user_nl_cam file only works to change the default values of the variables that are already specified in a use case, not to remove variables from a use case.  If removing variables is needed, then a new use case file should be constructed and the CESM compset should be made to use that new use case file.I don't know anything about available restart files.

Hi, I came up with the same question. I'm running F20C5TR with env_build.xml setting './xmlchange -file env_build.xml -id CAM_CONFIG_OPTS -val '-phys cam5 -chem trop_mozart_mam3''. And I got the run error message(shr_sys_abort) ERROR: chem_surfvals_readnl: Cannot specify both bndtvghg and flbc_file . How can I solve this problem? Any advice would be appreciated.
