Restart from a previous restart date

Does anyone know how to restart CESM from previous restart files? For example, my run failed at 03/01 due to some issue on the supercomputer, and the restart files are not generated completely. I removed the restart-03-01 files and wanna restart the simulation from a previous restart file (let's say 02/01), but it seems the model clock time is at 03/01 and is looking for the restart files at 03/01. I also tried to rebuild the model but it doesn't work. How can I specify a date of restart or change the model clock time? Should I use hybrid run?Any suggestion? Thanks!
