Restart Run with ghg scenarios...

Hi Eaton,

Sir, i have started a CAM4.0 standalone run with the following build-namelist command given below for a period of 31 years. i am using Scenario_ghg='RAMPED' and rampyear_ghg= 1970 same as the starting date of of run.

Run was terminated after 4 years due to power failure. So i am going for restart run now. for that i have change the stary_type='continue' and start_ymd ='...'as well now i am confused about rampyear_ghg= 1970..????? what to do with this.?? whether this one is also required to change to same as start_ymd='--' or model automatically take care of it for restart run???

please Suggest me what will be the right option or any other changes require to retain the older terminated run from termination step itself....

The namelist variable rampyear_ghg is used to *fix* the year in a multiyear dataset. It is not the start year. If you want a run that uses data corresponding to the model year then do not set rampyear_ghg. Just set scenario_ghg='RAMPED' and the years matching the model year will automatically be used.

Also note that the ghg values are all put in the history files so you can check what values were actually used. The variables are co2vmr, ch4vmr, n2ovmr, f11vmr, f12vmr.
