Hi there,
I had success with running aquaplanet simulation from CAM4 standalone configuration. Now I am trying to run aquaplanet CAM4 from the cesm (1_0_2) scripts. However I encountered some problems in setting aquaplanet namelist variables. Below is what I did.
After creating a new case using "create_newcase" script (by choosing compset as "F" for standalone CAM4), I modified the env_conf.xml in the CAM section with following statements:
But somehow after I configured and built the code, in the "drv_in" namelist I couldn't find "aqua_planet = .true." and " aqua_planet_sst = 1" in the section of "&seq_infodata_inparm". But they do show up in the "drv_in" namelist after I run the build-namelist script in CAM4 standalone configuration. So I am concerned that the way I set up the namelist variables in cesm scripts for aquaplanet simulation may not be right. Can someone give me some guidance? Thanks.
