Hi,
I have been able to successfully build SCAM 3.1 . When attempting to run:
./scam
...the correct GUI appears only when running it on the Console. When I try to run it via a Xterm from another machine, the GUI box appears but in place of text, all I am seeing are squares as character place-holders.
I think this is a missing font problem related to X11 but am not sure how to fix it. Is there a switch or environment variable I can set prior to compilation to grab the needed fonts for displaying the GUI via X11?
Our build environment is:
RHEL4
PGI 7.2-4
NetCDF 4.0
NCARG 5.0.0
gcc 3.4.5
Thanks for any ideas.
