SCAM on PC

Hello, I am new to CAM. I was trying to port cesm 1.2.0 on my PC (ubuntu system installed) with the hope to perform some single column runs. I was able to build nad run the full model and got resonable results. But the scam mode seems to be a problem. It requires eul dynamics, which assumes a serial build. I only have openmpi on my PC. I had to force the configure to use "-nospmd" in order to complete the cesm_setup. I then got no errors while compilation. The the actual run always fails due to core dump error. I wonder if it is possible to get the scam run with only openmpi. Thanks.

Hi Could I know if you compiled SCAM on your ubuntu machine with gfortran ? I have a Desktop with gfortran and mpif90 installed and have tried compiling SCAM. It seems to compile fine but fails upon running with a segmentation fault. Am unable to detect why the Segmentation Fault occurs. Did you use the run-scam.csh script to compile and run the SCAM model ?Thanks.
