Setting for ice nucleating efficiency of Black Carbon

I'm investigating the climate impacts of aviation aerosols using CAM.
The component set and grid I'm using in simulations are FCnudged and f09_f09_mg17, respectively.

I'd like to know how to change the ice nucleating efficiency of Black Carbon.

I asked this question of NCAR scientists, and here is their response:

In nucleate_ice_cam.F90 right before calling nucleati, there is
! *** Turn off soot nucleation ***
soot_num = 0.0_r8

This is where ice nucleation for black carbon is turned off in CAM.
To turn it on, this line can be modified as
soot_num = soot_num * 1% (for one percentage of black carbon particles to be activated)

There is no soot used for homogeneous and heterogeneous freezing of ice in cirrus clouds.

The mixed phase may be different.
