Slab ocean with WACCM

Hello I want to run a simulation using CESM 1.0.4 which combines the WACCM atmospheric model, the land active land CL and a slab ocean. Does anyone know what changes must I make in the source code to achieve this? Also does anyone know what resolutions should the datasets have so that they can run together? Thank you in advance for the help,Beth
