if you begin compiling for this architecture, you will promptly be presented with a error on the first configure (after create_newcase), complaining about a 'env_run.anchorage' not being found. It is obvious as you are on generic_linux not anchorage architecture (I figured it out cause anchorage was listed in 'generate_newcase -help').
Then just edit $CCSM_ROOT/scrips/ccsm_utils/Machines/batch.linux.generic_linux file, being known that $CCSM_ROOT is the root directory of CCSM package (/something/to/ccsm3_0_1_beta14/).
The third line, where you read:
mach = anchorage
Make it
mach = generic_linux
I'd say a better solution would be to use ${MACH} instead of generic_linux as it would work if you renamed it to fit another architecture, but this would only be useful for who is going to fix it on the official branch, that is distributed on the ESG website.
Hope it helps! :)
