Dear everyone,
I am using CESM 1.2.0 with trop_mam7 CAM configuration and fv DYCORE. I want to caculate the horizontal and vertical transport amount of aerosols in a special region. But I am not sure whether the TAxxx (horz+vert+fixer tendency of xxx)in the output datasets is the variable I want. So I have some questions about it.
1.Does the positive or negative values of an aerosol's TA in a grib correspond to the increase or decrease of its mass in this grib due to transport? So for a specific region and aerosol, does its emission equal to the sum of its deposition and TA?
2.If I only want to know the horizontal and vertical transport amount of a grib, do I need to minus the fixer tendency from TA?
3.How can we separate each component from TA for an aerosol?
4.Why the annual average global total TA of an aerosol is not zero or balanced? Using dust aerosol as an example, "TAdst_a5+TAdst_a7" is about +5 Tg/y.
5.Can we caculate the horizontal and vertical transmission direction and flux of an aerosol in a grib? For example, in the east-west direction, can we caculate out that whether the aerosol mass is transported from east to west or west to east and how much the flux is?
Thanks a lot in advance, and best wishes for you!
