source code variable initialization in surface radiation

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how FSDS is divided into direct and diffuse component and what fractions they divided in CLM4.
In the file Surfaceradiation.F90, we are not able to identify where the variable forc_solad and forc_solai are initialized and how these variables are
split into infra red and visible.

Hope to get some inputs.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I don't have the answer off the top of my head, but I can point you in the right direction:

1) Chapter 17 of the CLM4 Technical Description
2) Under /models, instead of looking in the /lnd/clm directory, look in the /atm/datm directory

Sincerely,
Sam Levis
