Is there a citable source for the gridded files used as CAM input? For example, are the gridded input files based on NCEP reanalyses? Thanks.

Yes, those meteorological input data files. I wondered if there is any information about how/where those files were prepared. Thanks.George

The meteorologial data sets we are supporting are GEOS5 and MERRA meteorological analysis. The required fields were compiled and interpolated here at NCAR to the CESM model grid. The vertical resolution of the data sets was kept. We are using a script that performed area weighted interpolation of the data. Does that answer your question?Simone
