I'm trying to spinning up the CLM45 from CESM1.2.2 version. For this, I'm using my own domain with 25x25km over European-PAN scale with own climate data. My main aim is to get the ICLM45CN compset in steady state to run the model with own climate data. After running the model 100 years, I got some particular results in the history file. I exactly follwed the spin-up procedure on the homepage of ucar (http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.2/clm/models/lnd/clm/doc/UsersGuide/x12544.html). In the north of Europe like in Sweden, Norway and Finnland, I get almost no carbon in the Soil, Vegetation and Ecosystem. I also added some figures to show the issue. The problem looks like to be related to one PFT type since the model behaves plausible in other areas. I checked several point in north of Europe and I also found out that the carbon pools in many grid cells decrease instead of increasing which does not fit the natural situations in those grid cells. Do you know, where can I check the problems of this issue or what can be the exlenation of this behaviour of CLM45 in those areas. Thanks for your replies in advanced.
