SST boundary condition

Hi All, I am running CAM 5.0 and I need to set transient sst condition not climatological. Earlier in CAM 4.0 we had a namelist variable "sstcyc" and by setting it false we get the transient boundary condition but in CAM 5.0 it i not working.Now, I want to know is there any other way to do this.Thanks and RegardsAlqamah Sayeed

Try using the argument "-use_case 1850-2005_cam5" with the build-namelist command.  The resulting namelists will indicate how to set up transient runs.  Also note that even though the sstcyc variable may still be present in the namelist file it is not used by the data ocean model component (DOCN) which is the default CESM component for reading an SST dataset.  The sstcyc variable was used by the old CAM specific data ocean (DOM).

If you use the CESM script, you can use the FAMIPC5CN compset. It will automtically set the SSTs for a transient run.
