SSTCYC works in CESM?

Hi all,
I am running cesm 1.2.1 with cam5 and clm4.5 with crop on and ocean at data mode(DOM). I want to set SSTCYC = TRUE for climatological sst dataset. In the CAM  namelist definitions, it says SSTCY is set to TRUE as a default option and does not work for CCSM.Please can you explain will it work in my case and if no then what else can I use? Thank you in advance
