Student looking to run the CCSM

Hello!
I am a journalism student at the University of Colorado and I am writing a story about the effects of Global Warming on future populations. I understand that the CCSM could be very helpful for my story so I was wondering what I would have to do to run it on my computer. I have a Mac Powerbook G4. Are there any specific steps I have to take to set my computer up to run the software?
Any help you could give me would be very useful.
Thank you!

CCSM as it stands right now requires a parallel computing system on which to run so it will not work on a mac. The atmosphere-only component of CCSM. The Community Atmosphere Model (CAM) can be run on a mac but I am not sure how fast it will run.
