Hello,
Is there a provision for tweaking sunspot activity in CAM3.1 (like a namelist variable that could do it)? I would like to play around with sunspot maxima and minima to create heating in the stratosphere and above. I do not think the solar constant namelist variables will have the desired effect. Does anybody have any thoughts on how to do this? If there is no namelist option, is sunspot activity specified somewhere in the model source code? If so, where?
