TBOT in cam intial condition

There is a variable TBOT in cam intial condition file.
The description of TBOT is: TBOT:long_name = "Lowest model level temperature" ;
Because CAM uses the hybrid vertical coordinate, I don't know the lowest model level refers to the lowest midpoint layer or the lowest interface layer?

Thanks

Temperature is computed on the mid level point. TBOT is the temperature on the lowest midpoint layer.

Yes, TBOT is T(:,lev=BOT,:,:)Because, for example, if you want TBOT at high frequency, it is 30x cheaper from a data storage as well as file I/O standpoint than outputting full 3-D T.
