Hi,

I have a question about the default initial condition. I am now using clm5.0 with the configuration of

2000_DATM%GSWP3v1_CLM50%BGC-CROP_SICE_SOCN_MOSART_SGLC_SWAV

I am wondering if there is the default initial condition for the year of 2000. And which type of RUN_TYPE (startup or hybrid) I should choose so that I can use the default initial condition provided automatically ?

Sincerely,

It seems that turning the RUN_TYPE=startup brings the default initial condition file

finidat = '/glade/p/cesmdata/cseg/inputdata/lnd/clm2/initdata_map/clmi.I2000Clm50BgcCrop.2011-01-01.1.9x2.5_gx1v7_gl4_simyr2000_c180715.nc'

Sincerely,

I'm not sure why the default is apparently from year 2011, however this is still nominally present day for an I2000 case. My guess is that these files are drawn from restart files of vetted simulations, the exact restart year 2000 isn't always available.
