When I created the surface dataset, I noticed that the raw data for vic is
mksrf_vic_0.9x1.25_GRDC_simyr2000.c130307.nc

The variables included in the file are Dsmax, Ws and binfl. I am wondering if vic is the only process in clm that uses the parameters.
If vic is the only process in clm using the parameters, and setting
use_vichydro=F
would disable the effect of Dsmax, Ws and binfl, Right ?

Another question is that if I configure with the BGC-CROP component in clm5,
whether the variables in the input surface dataset,

MONTHLY_HEIGHT_BOT
MONTHLY_HEIGHT_TOP
MONTHLY_SAI
MONTHLY_LAI

will be used when the model run ?

Sincerely,

Yes, only VIC uses those parameters. If use_vichydro = .false., they won't be read in or used.
In BGC-CROP mode, the MONTHLY_* variables you list won't be used.
