The initial data for B_1850-2000 of CESM1.2

Hey,I am running experiments using cesm1.2 in the yellowston and want to start my experiment from 1979 or later. But the initial data file for B_1850-2000 is not found in the yellowstone.Alternatively, I use b40.20th.track1.2deg.001 (the intial date is 1979) as the initial data (choosing "branch run") and accordingly change my compset as B_1850-2000_CN. The setup and build is finished, but run is wrong with a log indicating "Netcdf: variable not found". I think it may be due to that the model version I use (CESM1.2) is different from this experiment (CCSM4). Can you do an hybrid instead of a branch ? As you are using a different version of teh model, I don't really see a reason to do a branch.
