Timing output folder missing in "case" folder

Hi,

I was trying to execute cesm2.1.2 with a user defined machine in config_machines.xml file.
I have 2 doubts regarding this
1) All the steps seem to execute successfully.
But the timing folder isn't getting created in the $CASE directory.
2) Even though I define config_machines.xml and config_compilers.xml separately in $CIME directory, it refers to the files from $CESM/config/cesm/machines folder.

Can you please suggest me how to resolve these issues

You have not provided enough information to determine the problem.
Please run test SMS.f19_g16.X on your system and report the results.

So i attached the files which i thought are relevant. Please let me know if any other information is required

The test appears to have completed successfully - and this is the timing file from the case timing directory? Looks to me like it's working as expected.

Hi.

This is the file in "projects/scratch/case_name/run/timing" folder
.
There is usually a timing folder created under "cime/scripts" section. That seems to be missing.
Can the run still be considered successful?

Please attach the TestStatus.log file for that case, it should have created a timing subdirectory of the case directory and copied the timing file there.
