Transient historical to transient future forcing

Hello all, I'm looking to carry out a simulation that spans the historical period (1850-2000) with the B_1850-2000_CN component set and then move into an RCP6 scenario simulation with the compset B_RCP6.0_CN. Is the best way to do this through a hybrid run with the REFCASE as the end of the historical run for the future simulation? I've also noticed that most RCP cases that have been done start in 2005 - is this by extending the B_1850-2000_CN simulation to 2005? Any insight is much appreciated!Meg Fowler
