urban incident atmospheric longwave radiation balance error

I'm trying to run CESM 1.0.5 on Yellowstone with initial condition scripts generated from ECMWF analysis and I get this error in ccsm.log.xxxxxx-xxxxxx

urban incident atmospheric longwave radiation balance error
5.902958103587057E+020
clm model is stopping
ENDRUN: called without a message string

This error comes from:
/glade/p/cesm/cseg/collections/cesm1_0_5_rel03/models/lnd/clm/src/biogeophys/UrbanMod.F90

My only guess as to why this is happening is because I used "skin temperature" instead of actual SST values to create "sst_cpl" in the initial condition file to avoid some techinical issues.

Is anybody familiar with this error?

Thanks,
Walter
