Vertical Levels for GEOS5 Meteorology - Does it need to match -nlev?

The GEOS-5 offline meteorology has 72 levels. Many of the configuration examples recommend "-nlev 56." If I were to run with offline GEOS-5 meteorology, should I change nlev to equal 72? What's recommended?

The code is using only the amount of levels you specify. If you set it to -nlev 56 the lower 56 levels will be used and the additional levels will be ignored.
