Hi,

I don't understand that what does it mean when ' ' is assigned to the option hist_type1d_pertape in user_nl_clm file. When I checked here CESM2 Series Public Release

It only says ' ' represents out-of-the-box Default. But what does it really mean ? Is it equal that when 'pft' and ' ' assigned to this option ?

Could anyone clarify it ?

Thanks.

When it is set to ' ', this means that the output will be at the finest subgrid level available for the requested variable. For example, a column level variable such as H2OSNO will be output at the column level (a vector of column-level values). A pft level variable such as TLAI will be output at the pft level (a vector of pft-level values).
