what is the relation between (NPP-HR) and NEE and total ecosystem carbon?

Hi,I am wondering how the variable "NEE" and "TOTECOSYSC" is calculated in CLM?For what I found:nee(c) = -nep(c) + col_fire_closs(c) + dwt_closs(c) + product_closs(c) + col_hrv_xsmrpool_to_atm(c)where:nep(c) = gpp(c) - ar(c) - hr(c)So my understanding is if (NPP - HR) is positive, nee should be negative (source) and total ecosystem carbon should increase (totecosysc) and the magnitude should be smaller than (NPP - HR) due to carbon loss from wildfire, etc. However, in my simulation results, I found a negative NEE and positive totecosysc when (NPP - HR) is negative. I am a little confused here.Is this somehow related to the nitrogen down-regulation process? Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks!

totecosysc is: cwdc (coarse woody debris) + totlitc (total litter) + totsomc (total soil organic matter) + totvegc (total vegetation carbon)

Without knowing exactly what you've changed it's hard to know if this behavior makes sense.
