What is the relationship between two CO2 dataset?

Hi,

There are two dataset, which are co2flux_fossil_1751-2006-monthly_0.9x1.25_c20100204.nc and ghg_hist_1765-2005_c091218.nc. In some compsets of CESM1.0, the two dataset are both used. What is the relationship between them? Is there any conflict when the two dataset are used in case run?

Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

CSEG and Liaisons
The compsets *_BGC-BPRP are for runs with an active carbon cycle. These runs have a prognostic CO2 which uses the file co2flux_fossil_1751-2006-monthly_0.9x1.25_c20100204.nc.

In addition, these runs use the cam4 physics package which has prescribed GHGs. The file ghg_hist_1765-2005_c091218.nc is used for the prescribed values of CH4, N2O, F11, F12.

There is no conflict. In these compsets the prescribed CO2 values in ghg_hist_1765-2005_c091218.nc are used only to initialize the value of the prognostic CO2 constituent.
