Hi, CAM3 and SOM users:
When I run CAM3 with a slab ocean after a required SOM input data is prepared, I met the error message
CHECK_VAR Warning: variable TSOCN is not on initial dataset
ENDRUN: called without a message string
This is thrid time for model endrun called because of the missing variable TSOCN in cami initial dataset, earlier two were SICTHK and ICEFRAC. In the first time, I copied (use ncks) SICTHK from the SOM input file into cami. Then error message disappeared. The second one, ICEFRAC, has no such a name in the SOM inputdata but only ice_cov. I renamed ice_cov to ICEFRAC and copied to cami (because the unit for ice_cov is icefrac). I am not sure if this change is correct. Now the third time, TSOCN which I cannot find from my SOM data file. I don't know what it is. Is it temperature and salinity in ocean? I don't know how many more variables are missed in cami. Could anyone tell me where is the source code to list those required variables in cami. A rapid answer would be very appreciated.
