Which PGI compiler releases are validated?

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if there's an up-to-date list on validated PGI compiler versions.. I know from the old mailing list that some of the 5.x -> 6.x versions had various difficulties (and successes), but I'm curious if anyone has validated PGI 7.x versions on 64-bit Linux clusters such as Lightning?

I know from googling that the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre has a webpage, listed below, which says it supports CCSM3.01 (beta22) with all PGI versions, which is encouraging, but not a slam-dunk because the released version we're using is CCSM3.0.1 beta14, and I'm not certain what the differences are between these two versions of the source code.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks very much,
- Brian
