Which year should I start in FMOZ

Hi, I feel some confused about the start date settings in FMOZ simulation (2000-control). When I used the default initial condition of cam and land (2000 year), may I start my simulation in 2010 year? If not, does it mean the start year must be set as 2000-01-01? If yes, except for emission datasets, which input data I need change?
