Why does photosynthesis decrease only impact higher model layers' CO2 concentration rather than the first model layer?

Hi all,

I changed the photosynthesis rate via PhotosynthesisMod.F90 (expr_case) to analyse the CO2 concentration changes.

However, the changes in CO2 concentration only occurred in higher model layers rather than the first level, when I used the `expr_case-base_case`.



Could you help me to know why this happened?
