Why is my ground heat flux extremely overestimated?

Dear CESM community members,

since a few weeks I'm doing my first comparisons of CLM output with measurements.
My focus is on the optimization of the model for a specific region regarding first of all near surface heat fluxes.
What I can reproduce quite well is the sensible air heat flux (FSH).

But when it comes to the ground heat flux, I encounter a big problem:

When I compare the CLM output variable "Heat flux into soil including snow melt" (FGR) with the measured values, the model gives values which are approximately one order of magnitude larger than the measured ground heat flux in 2cm depth.

Please find attached a plot in which you can see this huge difference.

Has anyone an idea what I'm doing wrong here or what reasons in the model and its input data could lead to this huge deviation?

Cheers,
Sven
