We are trying to perform a sensitivity experiment on the vegetation and ice/snow over land area. We hope to change the albedo (with a seasonal cycle) over land area in the coupled model, but we are not sure how to do this. I was wondering if it is possible to fix land albedo in the coupled model. If so I wonder if you could help to provide some advice or suggestions? Thank you so much!
We are running CESM and CESM2 right now. So if it's possible to change albedo in either model, it will be very helpful!

You might take a look at the Simple Land Model (SLIM) for CESM:

SLIM works with CESM2.1 but you have to download the code separately. I would contact the code author, Marysa Lague.
