Hi all,i have a question about the wetland biomass calculation when the landcover is wetland. i have not found the relevant documentation about this wetland procedure.
1.My site type was swamp meadow, but I set the vegetation type to wetland and I simulated the variables 'TOTECOSYSC' and H2OSOI of the site with values of 0 and NAN respectively, I wonder if this is correct?
2.If my setup is not appropriate, how should I set the vegetation type and soil condition of the site so that the simulation is similar to that of a swampy meadow?
can you please give me some advise?,Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If I change the vegetation type of this site to C3 Arctic grass, how can I set the soil moisture content so that the site is always saturated or high

Wetland is just a column of water, so no vegetation (TOTECOSYSC=0).
We don't have a swampy meadow pft unfortunately. One approach is to model it as a C3 or C4 grassland and set baseflow_scalar = 0 in your user_nl_clm, which will eliminate baseflow and keep the soil column wetter.

Thanks for your reply. I will try it!
