10 meter wind speed

To whom it may concern:

From the CAM output, we have zonal wind U and V for different vertical layers. However, we do not have the 10 meter U/V or 10 meter wind speed, which is important for regional downscaling from CCSM to WRF. Is there any way we can calculate or output 10 meter or surface U/V?

10-meter wind velocity will be available in the next release (likely to happen in June)
