10m Wind Speed?

Hi there,

We would like to output 10m wind speed and direction. I see the cam default outputs U10, but I cannot locate V10. Does this exist? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what U10 actually is? Is it just the U component or is it the total wind speed? Any insight would be great!

Thanks!

U10 is the 10-meter total wind speed (sqrt (U2 + V2)) .
Independent components for meridional and zonal wind at 10m are not available.
