A question about gen_domain

Hi everyone
I'm a beginner of CLM3.5.
I want to change topography in the model.So I should make new surface data.
But i don't kown how can I get the source of gen_domain,it's important for modifying the LANDMASK and LANDFRAC.
The link https://svn-ccsm-models.cgd.ucar.edu/tools/mapping/gen_domain
seems invalidity for me.
anyone have gen_domain send one to me ...scs_wy@yahoo.cn

If you download the clm3.5 from the public release website (http://www.cgd.ucar.edu/tss/clm/distribution/clm3.5/index.html), this will include the directory /tools. This directory includes all the tools needed to create a new surface dataset.

I have found the tools(mkgriddata and mksurfdata).
I want to change some ocean to land and run the model CCSM.
You kown the flux(latent heat etc) has differert calculation methods at different interface.
I have made new weight files for atm_ocn by SCRIP.I try to modify the LANDMASK and LANDFRAC in clm now.
I guess I should modify the variable LANDFRAC of the file "mksrf_navyoro_20min.c010129". Then make a new griddata by mkgriddata and make a new surface data by mksurfdata. Right ???
Can you give me some advice?? many thanks......

I don't have experience changing the landmask and landfrac. Scientists in the paleoclimatology group do that some times in their work. Maybe one of them has advice for you. If not, I recommend becoming familiar with the tools that we talked about already, and hopefully everything will work for you.

I remember now that one issue when you run the ccsm with a different landmask will be the changing location of river mouths. I believe that the coupler has a mapping matrix that determines where in the ocean the river water should end up. I have never had to change this myself. Paleoclimatologists and ocean modelers typically deal with this issue but hopefully you will be able to figure it out yourself.
