I am running the CLM model and would like to ask something. I haven't made any changes to nitrogen deposition or ozone. The nitrogen deposition data I’m currently using is from:

ndepmapalgo = 'bilinear'
stream_fldfilename_ndep = '/data01/huangluyao/hly/model/clm/cesm/inputdata/lnd/clm2/ndepdata/fndep_clm_hist_simyr1849-2006_1.9x2.5_c100428.nc'
stream_year_first_ndep = 1850
stream_year_last_ndep = 1850

I would like to ask where this data is sourced from since I couldn't find it in the nc file. If I want to reference it, how should I properly cite this data? Additionally, is there ozone input in the default CLM case? I couldn't find it. If there is, how should the ozone data be cited?"

You just be using an old version of CLM (CLM4 perhaps?). I think you could cite the CLM4 paper for nitrogen deposition:

Lawrence, D.M., K.W. Oleson, M.G. Flanner, P.E. Thornton, S.C. Swenson, P.J. Lawrence, X. Zeng, Z.-L. Yang, S. Levis, K. Sakaguchi, G.B. Bonan, and A.G. Slater, 2011: Parameterization improvements and functional and structural advances in version 4 of the Community Land Model, J. Adv. Model. Earth Syst., 3, M03001, DOI:10.1029/2011MS000045.

In that paper, it states that the nitrogen deposition is from Lamarque et al. 2010.

I don't think CLM4 had any ozone input.

Thank you very much, Keith. I am indeed using the old version 5.0. Is there no ozone input in CLM5.0 as well? I couldn't find any ozone data in the input files.

There is ozone input in CLM5 if you set use_ozone=.true. In the release version of the model forc_ozone = 100._r8 * 1.e-9_r8. In later versions of the model, it comes in through streams.
I'm still confused by why your case is using fndep_clm_hist_simyr1849-2006_1.9x2.5_c100428.nc. That is for CLM4 as indicated by the namelist:

bld/namelist_files/namelist_defaults_clm4_0.xml:<stream_fldfilename_ndep hgrid="1.9x2.5" bgc="cn">lnd/clm2/ndepdata/fndep_clm_hist_simyr1849-2006_1.9x2.5_c100428.nc</stream_fldfilename_ndep>

For CLM5, I think the case should be using:

<stream_fldfilename_ndep phys="clm5_0" hgrid="0.9x1.25" use_cn=".true." ssp_rcp="hist" >lnd/clm2/ndepdata/fndep_clm_hist_b.e21.BWHIST.f09_g17.CMIP6-historical-WACCM.ensmean_1849-2015_monthly_0.9x1.25_c180926.nc</stream_fldfilename_ndep>
