Abrupt-4xCO2 (150y): POP pH solver instability — changed dt_count and PE layout mid-run; OK to analyze together?

Hi all,
I’m running a CESM2 CMIP-style abrupt-4xCO2 for 150 years. Around year ~42 the run became unstable due to a POP pH solver issue. Based on forum suggestions I fixed it by changing dt_count, but this slowed the run a lot, so starting from year 41 (restart) I also changed the PE layout to regain speed.
Is it acceptable to combine years 1–40 and 41–150 for analysis?
