Aerosol optical properties CAMRT

Hi Eaton,
I am using E1850CN compset.
The default input file for the sulfate aerosols is sulfate_camrt_c080918.nc
I believe that the optical properties (ssa_sw, ext_sw and asm_sw) in the file is defined for a particular dry radius of sulafte aerosols (which is 69.5 nanometer) at different relative humidity indices and swbands.
I want to understand how these optical properties i.e. the variables ssa_sw, ext_sw and asm_sw are estimated.
Is it possible for you to give some references, any paper which is followed to obtain these properties.

Thanks
Angshuman

You will find discussion of calculating the aerosol optical properties for the bulk aerosols used in cam4 in the NCAR Technical Note (NCAR/TN-485+STR)  "Description of the NCAR Community Atmosphere Model (CAM 4.0)".  This reference is linked from the CAM home page http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.2/cam/
