AMIP observational inputs to 2012

Hi, does anyone know if there exist input data files *based on observations* that extend out to, ideally 2012, or some date beyond 2006? I've found the ones that are extended by tacking on RCP 4.5 scenario values, but I want to know if new input files have been prepared yet that don't depend on that? Perhaps for CMIP6? This is to run an AMIP-type run, ideally through 2012. Thanks,Naomi

We don't have all the observational inputs to 2012. We do have SST and main greenhouse gases, but not everything. The workaround is to use RCP dataset for the dataset that are missing. Indeed, there is a compset that allows you to do (it seems this is the one you found).  This is the compset: F_1850-PDAY_CAM5This compset uses complete atmospheric forcing data from observed sources up to the year 2005. Following this period it is a combination of observed sources (SST, sea ice, CO2, CH4, N2O) to present day and IPCC RCP4.5 scenario data.  We expect we will get the CMIP6 forcing sometimes in the fall.
