Any RCP compsets available for ccsm4

Hi all


I am trying to set up a RCP scenario in ccsm4. There are namelists and input data available for both RCP 85 ( in ccsm4) and RCP 45 in CESM1, but no compsets. When I tried to to copy the set-up the model did not configure.
Error message below.

Are there any compsets around that I may use?

adding use_case 2000-2100_rcp8.5_transient defaults for var clm_demand with val fpftdyn
adding use_case 2000-2100_rcp8.5_transient defaults for var clm_start_type with val startup
adding use_case 2000-2100_rcp8.5_transient defaults for var model_year_align_ndep with val 2000
build-namelist - ERROR: variable "model_year_align_ndep" not found in namelist definition file
ERROR: generate_resolved.csh error for lnd template

By copying cam and clm namelists from cesm1 I managed to set-up rcp compsets for ccsm4. Should I be aware of any pitfalls with regard to this method?

Hi Øyvind Seland,
I'm a new CCSM4 user. I'm trying to run rcp experiments as well. I thought I could only feed CCSM4 with external forcing files.
I'm sorry that my post is not helpful to you but can you please briefly show me how to run rcp8.5 with CCSM4 or point a relevant tutorial?
