Can CLM4.5 use time-variant LAI using Satellite phenology options?

Hi,  I have a question. I want to carry out a simulation with changed satellite phenology, atmospheric forcing and fixed land cover for historical period.  I think there is an inputdata related to phenology in CLM namelist, fsurdat = ''.Fsurdat file has 4D variable LAI shows annual cycle of LAI for each PFTs.  But, the LAI has no year information. This means  the LAI values are fixed for all year in a transient experiment. Is it possible to change the annual cycle of LAI for different years?  I cannot find any options or namelists related to satellite phenology.  Thank you.

There are no standard options regarding interannual variability in LAI for satellite phenology.  You would need to provide a dataset for this and modify the appropriate subroutines to implement this, i.e.,models/lnd/clm/src/clm4_5/biogeochem/STATICEcosysDynMod.F90
