Can I eliminate some selected depth to reduce the size of POP tavg output files?

Hi all,I'm now working on the high resolution simulation in CESM1.1. And I only want to output selected z_t so that I can reduce the size of the output files. For example, I only want to output variables in upper 2000m. Is that possible to realize? Best,Qiuying
