Can I initialize the model from any year using the initial file of a specific year

Hello, everyone. I am using CESM2.2 to run the FHIST case. I have two questions about the initial file (set by 'ncdata').
  1. Does the initial file represent the state of a specific year, or is it simply a static equilibrium state used to start the model?
  2. When the run-type is set to startup, is it possible to initialize the model from any year using the initial file of a specific year? For example, if I use f.e20.FHIST.f09_f09.cesm2_1.001_v2.cam.i.2010-01-01-00000.nc or f.e22.FC2010climo.f09_f09_mg17.cam6_2_022.001.cam.i.0016-01-01-00000_c200610.nc as the initial file, can I start the simulation from 2015 using the emissions of 2015?
Thank you so much!

1. The model generates initial files as snapshots of the model state at the exact timestep when the file gets generated.
2. The model should be able to start with initial files from any such snapshot.

I will move this thread to CAM for further feedback and possible corrections to my response.
